Quick fast moving game that works on quick reflexes and listening skills.

Broom Handle Pole
Instructions
Gather everyone in a circle, with a leader or young leader in the middle. Then give everyone a number in the circle from 1 to however many you have.
Next explain the aim of the game which is, the leader in the middle has the pole holding it upright with just one finger, they will call a number out, let go of the pole and step back. When their number is called the young person has to try catch the pole before it hits the floor. If they catch it they go back in the circle. If they fail to catch it then they sit down. Keep going until you have a winner.
The young people will try to move closer as the game goes on so keep ensuring they are a poles length away from the leader in the center. You also may want to re-number them as the game goes on to make it easier to keep track of the numbers.
